Job Title: Divisional Homeware Manager
Employer Reputable retailer seeking a senior manager for Dublin City Centre
Salary: Negotiable
Job Description:
Located in Dublin City Centre, the Divisional Manager takes full control and ownership in running the entire Homeware Department, including Kitchen, Electrical, Furniture, Bedding, Gifts and Wedding areas.
You will be responsible for maintaining the extremely high standards already in place as well as creating a fun and productive work environment through on-going staff coaching and mentoring.
Job Responsibilities:
Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits
Work with the Sales Managers to ensure that all opportunities to maximise sales are taken
Work with Operations Manager to Analyse P+L reports on an on-going basis and take corrective action in order to protect the profitability of the department
React to barriers and delays in the delivery of sales and service
Optimize the use of floor space in conjunction with the Creative team
Monitor staff performance in line with Company Policy
Clearly communicate business, store and departmental goals to your team
Engage your team to deliver on the Company’s vision, mission and values
Develop and mentor your direct reports
Liaise with the Operations manager and buyer to organize product knowledge training on an on-going basis for staff to stay up to date with the products they are selling.
Job Requirements:
Retail management experience of large teams (up to 100 staff) is essential
Proven track record in building new & maintaining loyal business relationships
Proven experience in the achievement of sales targets
Strict budget management experience
Strong computer skills
Confident communication with all management levels
Exceptional customer service skills with consultative approach
Previous Homeware experience is desirable
Attention to detail and creative flare
